Background I.SIA started Payroll Giving through a consortium in 2001 – 04 II.Recruited 50 payroll givers III.Started again in 2008 IV.Now have 104 donors

Payroll Giving Now at SIA? Use a PFO for large companies which we would not have access to Large base of solicitors as corporate supporters Executive Director, Corporate Development and Community Development have developed strategy to increase payroll giving with these supporters

Process Letter goes to named contact at firm from Executive Director Results in an invitation for a meeting – usually a presentation A short window of opportunity to present to all employees – benefits of payroll giving

Presentation Payroll presentation to the staff usually Community Development with back up from Corporate Development Give each person present a payroll giving form Ask them to hand it in before we leave the office

We try to make things easier Have the agency forms already filled in – all you would need is a signature – offer to send forms off for them. Try and work in partnership with your corporate dept A short window of opportunity to present to all employees – benefits of payroll giving

Disadvantages Only a small window of opportunity to make your case No staff canteens as small offices so cannot talk to everyone individually We have recruited 25 new donors in this way in two years
