Story is told by one of the characters. Uses the pronoun I We only know what the one character is telling us.

This point of view brings the reader up close and personal with the narrator. Immediately puts the reader in the shoes of the narrator The emotions of the main character are known to the reader.

As you read a piece of fiction think about these things: –How does the point of view affect your responses to the characters? –How is your response influenced by how much the narrator knows and how objective he or she is? –First person narrators are not always trustworthy.
