Second Person The narrator refers directly to you as the reader. The narrator pulls the reader in as a character in the story. Pronouns: you, your, yours, you’re, you are

5 Third Person The narrator tells what is going on in the story with the other characters. Pronouns: He, she, him, his, her, hers, they, them, theirs, they’re OR any noun/proper noun

6 Third Person Objective
The narrator simply tells the reader what is going on the story. The narrator does not know or reveal any thoughts and feelings of any characters.

7 Third Person Limited The narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of only one character in the story. The story is told from the narrator’s perspective, but is focused through that one character’s thoughts and feelings.

8 Third Person Omniscient
The narrator is all knowing. The narrator knows the thoughts and feelings of every character. This narrator is most trustworthy.
