What is MyMaths? MyMaths is an interactive online teaching and homework subscription website for schools that builds pupil engagement and consolidates maths knowledge. Written by experienced maths teachers for the demands of the UK curricula, it is used in over 3,500 Primary schools throughout the UK. It provides excellent opportunities for children to practise their maths both inside and outside of the classroom. It helps reduce teacher workload through automatically-marked, randomised homework tasks.

What is included in our subscription? The MyMaths library The MyMaths library lists all the lessons, homework tasks, booster packs and games that are available to use with classes. From the library, it’s also possible to access the teacher toolkit and a series of functional Skills lesson ideas that provide some group investigations for children to undertake. You will notice a curriculum dropdown on the left of the screen, above the navigation. This is the Curriculum Selector, which allows you to align resources to the curriculum.

What is included in my subscription? The Assessment Manager The MyMaths assessment manager is where you can set homework tasks, track results and organise classes. From the assessment manager, you can also alter the curriculum view for the school and transfer students (in the admin section). You can set tasks, monitor how many children have completed tasks, see how many outstanding tasks there are leave feedback on tasks (allocation). Teachers can track results and monitor progress and filter the information in a variety of ways, at class and individual student level (in the results section).

What’s included in our subscription? The Assessment Manager All assessed work can be tracked and progress clearly shown through the assessment manager. Homework tasks offer excellent formative assessment opportunities of day-to-day learning. Worksheets can be found within booster packs and offer a more summative view of progress.

What is included in my subscription? Primary portal The primary portal is where students log in to access and complete their homework tasks, view results and play games. Children can also access the games from here and do independent work, should they wish. All tasks are available to children to access, should they wish, regardless of whether they’ve been set as homework or not. Go to Results > Progress > Select a Year group and then select the grey bar to bring up uncompleted work. With every homework task, students have the option to open the accompanying lesson and revise before attempting their homework. They can even access it while doing their homework!

How do we get started? As a teacher user, you need to remember 2 log ins: 1. Whole school log in for teacher and student access to the MyMaths library Username: Enter username here Password: Enter username here

Assessment Manager log in Username: Enter username here Password: Enter username here Remember that this area is for teachers only – so don’t pass these second level login details with your students! You will be able to create student users within the Assessment Manager, and can pass on these student login details to your class.

How do we get started? Once logged into the first level, you can find the Assessment Manager by clicking here:

Using the Assessment Manager There are three sections in the Assessment Manager Allocation: Use this area to set tasks, activities or booster packs to individual pupils or whole classes Results: Use this area to view results, track progress and run reports Admin: Use this area to create accounts for pupils, download pupil log in details, alter the curriculum view for your class or school and generate parent letters to send home

Using the Library New content is available in the Latest section in the Library. You also have access to MyMaths Booster packs in this section of the site. Booster packs are aimed at specific groups of children. These packs are written to help students meet certain key requirements and can include lessons, Online Homeworks and Worksheets, and games.

Using the Curriculum Selector You can use the Curriculum Selector tool to display MyMaths resources in accordance with your chosen curriculum. Simply select your curriculum from the drop-down menu. This will display the resources that support that curriculum, together with relevant information about years or grades. Visit the MyMaths support site for more information about the Curriculum Selector tool

Getting started Need more help? Click the image below to watch the video of one of our Getting Started webinars to see the platform in action.

Introducing MyMaths to parents You can create letters to send to parents, carers or students which contain the student’s username and password so that they can log in to complete their work. You can select one of the following letters from the drop down menu: Online Homework (general instructions) Booster packs (instructions tailored to that booster pack) Password Changes Parents (guidance for parents) Letters can be created and saved to your computer in .pdf format. You can then print them out and distribute them. View the Parent Letter walkthrough Watch Parent Letter instructional video
