3 Download Additional Teacher Resources
In addition to your print Teacher Edition and Show Me Cards, in preparation to teach Math Navigator, download the Teacher Resources and Assessment Resources for your module: Visit Math Navigator’s MyPearson Training page Scroll down to the “Other Resources” section Download and print the Teacher Resources for your module (parent letter, Workspace blackline masters, misconceptions, class profile and other helpful resources) Download and print the Assessment Resources for your module (directions for administering pre-test/post-test*/checkpoints, checkpoint assessment, checkpoint answer sheet and checkpoint answer key) *Pre and Post Test Answer Keys are available: Via Dropbox (see slide 4) OR Via ARO (see slide 6-8)

4 Download Pre and Post Tests
If you do not have an ARO account, click on the link below to download and print the Pre and Post Tests for your module.

5 Math Navigator’s Assessment & Reporting Online “ARO” Basics

6 For access to ARO - After you have received an email with your ARO Username and password,
Type aro.pearsoncmg.com in your browser Enter your username Enter your password Select Academic Year Click Login Click on your class name in the upper left corner Your Class

7 To Print Pre and Post Tests

8 Print the Pre-Test Click the Print Test button in the top bar
Click the Math Navigator Common Core link Select the Pre-Test of your module and then click Download Print the Pre-Test Make a copy for each student Note: You have the option of downloading the test only or the test with answer key

9 Print the Post-Test Click the Print Test button in the top bar
Click the Math Navigator Common Core link Select the Post-Test of your module and then click Download Print the Post-Test Make a copy for each student Note: You have the option of downloading the test only or the test with answer key

10 To Utilize ARO Reports (Your students must be rostered in ARO)

12 Associate students to module pre-test
Click the Manage button on the top bar Click the “+” button next to Math Navigator Common Core Click the Associate Students to Test link Select your module pre-test and click Next

Select the students who will take the pre-test and enter the pre-test administration dates in the “Start” and “End” box Click Add

14 Enter Student Answers to Pre-Test (after students have completed Pre-Test)
Log into ARO and click on your class Click the Manage button on the top bar Click the “+” button next to Math Navigator Common Core Click the Enter Student Test Data link Select your module pre-test from the drop down menu and click Next Select the students who have completed the pre- test and click Next Enter student test data and click Submit & Preview Click Submit Final

15 Evaluate Pre-Test Results: Roster Report
After all tests have been completed or test scores have been entered run a Roster Report Click Reports on the top bar Click the “+” button next to Math Navigator Common Core Reports Click Roster Reports Click Display This Reports For All Students for the module pre-test you administered

Select HTML (the default format) Click the “+” next to your pre-test to display the report data

17 Checkpoints

18 Administer Checkpoints (See Teacher Guide for when to administer checkpoints for each module)

Note: You may skip this step if you previously downloaded the Checkpoint and Assessment Resources from MyPearsonTraining Click Print Test on the top menu bar Click the Math Navigator Common Core link Select the Checkpoints and Assessment Resources for your module Click Download Make copies for students

19 Score Checkpoints After students have completed their checkpoint assessments use the answer key to calculate the number of items correct Log into ARO and click on your class Click Manage on the top menu bar Click the “+” button next to Math Navigator Common Core Click the Update Checkpoint Scores link Select your module from the drop-down menu and click Next Enter the number of items correct on the checkpoint for each student and click Update

20 Evaluate Checkpoint Data
After you have entered the students’ checkpoint data run a Checkpoint Report Click Reports on the top menu bar Click the “+” button next to Math Navigator Common Core Reports Click the Checkpoint Report link Click Display This Report for All Students Select the file format: HTML for on-screen display, PDF or XLS for downloadable files Click Submit

Log into ARO and click on your class Click the Manage button on the top bar Click the “+” button next to Math Navigator Common Core Click the Associate Students to Test link Select your module post-test and click Next
