1 How do I utilize EngradePro?
The purpose of this presentation is to give you an overview of EngradePro. I will highlight its available functionalities that are granted by our district, and how to setup your own grade book, tailored to your own personal settings. Presenter Disregard the following as it’s specific to the author of this ETP: During the summer I worked at KLA-Tencor in the Talent Acquisition Department of Human Resources where I modified and created a PowerPoint presentation for their New Hire Orientation. The experience assisted me in developing this PowerPoint and strengthens my presentation skills to a group of professionals. As you will see, the use of PowerPoint helps to deliver pertinent information efficiently, visually, and highlights key points to increase retention and understanding.

We will watch a short clip, an overview of the Engrade product presented by the company (video will automatically load and play, wait about seconds).

3 Logging In www.engradepro.com
Wongida ****** Logging In To access the program go to Don’t forget to include the word “pro” in the web address; without the word pro it will take you to a completely separate product that is unrelated to EngradePro. If you forget your password, you can click (click) on “Lost Password.” An will be sent to help you reset your password. (click)

4 Adjusting Class Settings
After you sign on, you will see your “dashboard.” Here you should see a link to your class. (click) Click the link to open up your class. You’ll see your grade book. Of course if this is the first time you click the link, you will have no assignments listed. 1. Current grade book settings have been set according to our school district’s specifications, but you can adjust them by selecting “Grading Settings” from the “options” (click) dropdown menu, click on it. (click) 2. Select the type of grading scale of choice. You can custom the break down by clicking on the numbers to edit, or one of the other three options below the scale. Note that if you select “Manual,” your final grades will NOT automatically transfer over to student report cards. (click) 3. To add “Assignment Categories,” or subject areas, scroll down below the grading scale. 4. Enter categories in the box such as Reading, Math, Social Studies, etc. You may include other items such as participation aside from core subject area. (click) 5. Select “No” for weighted assignments because you’re entering separate subject areas unlike high school for single-subject users. (click)

5 Adding Assignment Adding Assignment
1. Back to the grade book page, click (click) the “New Assignment” button in the upper left corner of the page (click) 2. Enter the assignment name, points, and optional due date by entering the text in the text box fields. Select the right category to associate the assignment with its correct subject area. (click) 3. Click on the green (click) “More Options” link to reveal optional fields such (click) Description, Standards, Labeling, Tag, and Attachments. The MOST important part of this is to click “tag” and associate the assignment with the right subject area in the drop down menu. This must be done in order for your grades to auto-fill in the report cards at the end of the trimester. REMEMBER to tag your assignment, unless you don’t want it to be included in the final grade.

6 Add Comments to Assignments
Click (click) on “Students” in the left hand column. (click) Click (click) on the student name that you want to add comments to. Click (click) on the “Score” tab. Enter the comment in the comment field for each assignment.

7 Giving Students & Parents Access
Click on “Students” (click) on the left panel (click) Hover over (click) “Options” and choose (click) “Print Student/Parent Flyers.” (click) You’ll print this sheet out and cut along the dots to give each child/parent their respective access code.

8 Messaging Messaging Parents and/or Students
Messages can be sent individually or to a group. It can include file attachments (click). Select (click) “Messages” in the top menu bar. (click) Click (click) “Contacts” in the left hand menu bar. (click) Click the “expand” and “collapse” buttons to show or hide different groups of users. Notice the student and parent names will only appear if there is a registered account associated with users. Click each username that you would like to message. If the user is selected, you’ll see a green check mark on the right hand side of the screen. Click (click) the “Send Message” button, just like sending an .

9 Printing Reports Printing Reports Click (click) on “Report” button.
Select (click) “Print Student Reports.” Engrade will generate a printable list of Student Progress Reports that display student grades by assignment category and individual assignment scores. You can also select “Print Missing Reports” to generate a list of every assignment that each student is missing. Be sure to indicate missing assignments by placing an “m” in the grade book for the assignment score.

11 How do I utilize EngradePro?
Hopefully you have found this presentation informative, and it has helped to better prepare you in creating your own grade book with EngradePro. *Pass out the teacher surveys to gauge understanding and readiness. Optional: You may move onto part two – open lab for teachers to try out what they’ve learned. Moving directly into the lab after the presentation will be a good idea since information is fresh on their minds. However, part two maybe given at another time due to time constraint or based on teachers’ exhaustion level. You will need to gauge your audience to make the appropriate follow up action.
