Prom Prom Tickets Prom Decorating

Prom King and Queen: Nominees must attend prom in order to win. If someone who is nominated does not attend, the votes for that individual will be voided. In order to remain a contender, each nominee must help with prom decorating multiple times. Prom King and Queen shouldn’t be based upon popularity but upon how hard someone works to make prom a special event.

•. Voting will take place WHEN STUDENTS PURCHASE THEIR PROM TICKETS • Voting will take place WHEN STUDENTS PURCHASE THEIR PROM TICKETS! If another senior is bringing you as a guest and they purchase your ticket, you can’t vote.

Prom Tickets: Prom tickets are on sale the week of May 6th – May 10th ONLY! Tickets must be purchased from Ms. Kellum after 3rd period (if you have Early Release) or after school. Don’t wait until the last day. Ticket cost: $50 for JHS seniors $60 for Guests Guest forms must be turned in when purchasing tickets. This applies to ANYONE who is not a senior. If you are bringing an underclassman, you must turn in a form. Forms are online on the JHS webpage under Senior Information or are available from Ms. Kellum in Room 544. Forms must be signed in several places by other people so don’t wait until the last minute to fill out the form. An ID must accompany the form or it will NOT be accepted. You AND your guest must bring your ticket along WITH A PHOTO ID to be admitted to Prom.

Prom Decorating Did you know… It’s the responsibility of the Senior Class to decorate the prom? Walls have already been painted and most of the people helping were NOT seniors? Prom is only as good as the people who show up to help? It isn’t the responsibility of the Senior Class Sponsors to do everything? Prom is less than 3 weeks away???

Decorating after school for the next 2 ½ weeks Mr. Zirnheld’s shop Getting dirty is a big priority so wear old clothes Friday, May 18th is the big decorating day – Plan to stay LATE!

Prom: Saturday, May 18, 2019 Time: 8:00 p.m. until 12:00 a.m. You may arrive and depart at any time during this time frame but once you leave you may not return. Make sure you bring everything with you as you will not be allowed to go to your cars and return to the Prom once you are checked in. You and your date must have a photo ID as well as your prom ticket. No one will be allowed into the Prom without one. There will be no guest changes at the door and no tickets will be sold at the door. DO NOT bring someone other than the person named on the ticket!

Prom Information Continued: Please be aware of the fact that this is a closed event and no one will be allowed in except for seniors, their guests and the chaperones. If you and/or your parents would like to see or take pictures of the cafeteria, please come between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. The Prom King and Queen will be crowned at 10:00 p.m. No glasses will be given out before that time. Glasses will only be distributed as you are leaving for the evening. You will receive one glass for each ticket bought. Please be aware of the fact that we want this evening to be a memory you will cherish for many years to come. You are expected to act in an adult manner and to conduct yourselves accordingly. This event will be amazing so look forward to having a great time!

See Ms. Kellum if you have ANY questions.
