This Meeting’s Primary Goals To provide information regarding the commitment required by both cheerleaders and parents prior to the time of tryouts. To provide general information about the Tidwell Cheer Program.

Purpose of the Cheerleading Program: To place students in a leadership role. To help students learn responsibility. To allow students to be a part of a team. To support our school! To have FUN! To prepare students for future cheer, dance, and other team experiences.

“There is a big difference between interest and commitment.”

Cheerleader Commitment Attend all practices and performances ON TIME. Follow the Student Code of Conduct. Be respectful of peers, adults, and the school you represent. Be prepared in all aspects of school. This includes class, practice, AND performances. Follow the guidelines laid out in the Cheerleading Handbook (see demerits)

Parent Commitment Drop-off/pick-up your student for ALL practices and performances on time. Assist your student in any fundraising and team-building activities. Pay for the cost of participation. ($385.00 uniform + $150.00 camp fee)

*Times and days of practice are subject to change.* Time Commitment One to two practices per week. Limit of one evening performance per week. For performances away from Tidwell, a bus will transport the squad to the game. Parents are required to pick-up from performance location (BNHS or NHS). Participation in athletics and other sports is not an issue. We try to plan our calendar accordingly. *Times and days of practice are subject to change.*
