Miniature Train Wheels

Create a .5” line on the y-axis that will eventually be the rotation axis. Leave a space of .125” then draw rectangle

Draw next two shapes using the rectangle tool. .125”

Use revolve tool using the line drawn on the y-axis as the rotation axis.

Use Fillet tool to round off the outer edge of the wheel .125”.

Use Fillet tool to round off the inner edges of the wheel .0625”.

Create a 2D sketch on the flat inside surface of the wheel.

Start a center point circle .7” away from the circle in any direction. Then extrude and add more circles like shown from picture.

After creating the other circles. At the top, draw a circle After creating the other circles. At the top, draw a circle .0625” and extrude cut .25”

Start a 2D again on the flat part of the wheel to draw the cut outs.

Draw two center point circles from the center of the wheel using the dimensions shown.

Draw two lines from the center of the wheel Draw two lines from the center of the wheel. The distance does not matter as long as it intersects the two circles. The angle dimension of the lines does matter so use tab to change the angle of the lines respectively to 15 degrees and 45 degrees from the closest axis (should be x-axis but could change).

Use the trim tool remove all the extra lines Use the trim tool remove all the extra lines. The extrude cut shape through the wheel.

Use 3D circular pattern tool, select the shape as the feature and the center of the wheel as the rotation axis.
