Welcome to the Bullard Elementary Media Center Welcome to the Bullard Elementary Media Center. This is a tour designed for anyone who would like to learn more about this hub for learning, information gathering, and entertainment.

Bullard Elementary is located in Kennesaw Georgia Bullard Elementary is located in Kennesaw Georgia. We have an enrollment of approximately 1050 kindergarten through fifth grade students and over 100 staff members.

Let’s begin in this magical place where stories come alive Let’s begin in this magical place where stories come alive. In the part of the “E” section, Mrs. Lamothe share wonderful picture books and media lessons with the primary age students.

Teacher Workroom Beside the story time area is the teacher workroom. The workroom is always abuzz with activity. It includes a laminator, transparency maker, poster maker, poster paper cutter, document binder, and a large collection of professional development materials.

Check-Out Desk Next to the teacher workroom are the Media Specialist and Paraprofessional offices and in front of those you will find the check-out desk.

Morning News Studio The forth room on this side of the Media Center is the Morning News Studio. One of the finest elementary news programs in the state is produced in this room.

Technology Station In the very center of the Media Center is located a mini tech lab consisting of 18 computer stations, three printers, and a scanner. This area is used for individual users can go to access an Online Public Access Catalog called Destiny. The system is accessed centrally through the county network server. The user can search for resources by keyword, title, author, subject and series. Group lessons are also given here.

There are six large tables next to our computer station There are six large tables next to our computer station. These table are constantly being used for individual study, small group lessons, and meetings of all kind. This is area is also where Ms. Lamothe conducts media lessons for our intermediate classes. There is a electronic screen and LCD projector as well as a sound system for instruction use.

On this side of the Media Center you will find the Non-fiction section arranged by the Dewey Decimal System, the Juvenile fiction section arranged alphabetically by author, the reference section, the biography section, and a comprehensive selection of DVDs and VHSs which cover most of our Georgia Performance Standards.

Behind these sections are three additional rooms Behind these sections are three additional rooms. There is a language lab that houses supplemental materials for our Language Arts programs, including extra workbooks, games, flashcards, word building manipulatives, and much more. Adjacent to that room is a large Guided Reading Bookroom where we store sets of student readers, neatly arranged by reading level. Finally, there is a storage closet for all of our audio visual equipment.
