Houston Baptist university Online Dual Enrollment Program

HBU Online Learning Program The dual enrollment courses offered by Houston Baptist University Online are available for high school juniors and seniors. Students in the program can begin taking college courses as early as the summer after 10th grade. It is recommended that students enroll in no more than 2 courses (6 credits) per sub-term (8 weeks) to ensure academic success

Dual Enrollment Admissions Requirements Current Homeschool transcript – (view a sample homeschool transcript). Student has completed all of 10th grade requirements. Must have a current high school GPA of 2.0 or higher. .

Program Policies Students cannot enroll in classes until all admissions requirements have been met. Dual Enrollment students are only allowed to enroll in the HBU core courses which should meet the general education requirements of most colleges and universities. Upper level courses are not eligible for enrollment. Students may complete a maximum of 30 credits. Students are required to take English assessment tests before enrolling in university courses. This helps us determine the best course placement for your success. Once a student has been awarded a high school diploma,  or other high school graduation certificate, they will no longer be able to enroll in HBU Dual Enrollment classes and will need to apply to a college degree program (residential or online). Students who fail a Dual Enrollment credit course may repeat the course one time. The student must pay the tuition for the repeated course. If a student fails a second course, they will be removed from the Dual Enrollment program.

Why take this university online courses? Credits earn are freshman year courses, the credits are transferable to other US universities If you go to another country, the earned courses will be in your transcript/CV and will improve the chances of admissions to a better university. You will save money as they are cheaper then attending the same courses at the university. If you go to study at HBU, you will be considered at local resident and you will pay local tuition fees which are cheaper than tuition for foreigner. You will not compete with the large number of foreigners asking for admissions
