4 The costs per COURSE at Keystone
3 Credit Course = $300 4 Credit Course = $400 Two of our year long courses equate to TWO college classes, or 6 to 8 credits each.

5 Payment Billing will come directly from Keystone College to your home.
Due dates will be set by Keystone. Payment options may be available

6 Should I or Shouldn’t I….
Penn College is a no brainer…..if you take our course, you must take the Penn College course. PennCollegeNow students may incur a cost for the book. There are no tuition fees. Keystone – Consider the benefits Think about cost Think about the course and whether nor not it will help you at college (answer is almost always yes) Think about the overall four (maybe three!) year picture of college. Research the college your are interested in and their dual enrollment policy. If you choose not to participate, you may remain in the Sullivan County course. Do not complete any Keystone paperwork.

7 Survey Results 100% of the students surveyed indicated “agree” or “strongly agree” to the following statements regarding PennCollegeNow: “Helped me learn what college courses were like” “Helped me realize I am ready for college-level coursework. Is a program I would recommend to other high school students.

8 Student Benefits Fully transcripted and transferable credits
Students from Sullivan County High School have STARTED college with as many as 32 credits completed. Many students have been starting as college sophomores. Exposure to college level work Flexibility in your future college schedule

9 Student Consequences Grades have consequences
Poor grades affect GPA but at PCT and Keystone only. When transferring credits to other schools, most often the credit is transferred, but not the associated grade “W/D/F” not removed Can not placement test out of a course if a W or a failing grade is attached No refunds

10 Student Responsibilities
Complete required paperwork $25 application fee written to Keystone college Earn a “C” or better Contact Keystone College (or Penn College ) for your credits to be transferred to the college of your choice. Information will be provided at the end of the course regarding how to obtain college transcripts.

11 School Responsibilities
Sign an agreement with Penn College / Keystone Have our faculty approved to teach the courses Assign a single point of contact for paperwork and program questions Collect all checks, applications & FERPA waiver Send Grades to Keystone

12 Advantages of Dual Enrolment
Saves time and money Gives the opportunity to experience college level coursework Improves chances of earning college degree Student will earn college credits Gives student access to a wider range of rigorous technical courses. (PCT) Clarify point about GPA – GPA usually does not transfer to other institutions.
