Classroom Expectations ELA Mrs. Eddy @stpsb.org

Responsibility for Coursework Bring binder with loose leaf, highlighters, planner, and appropriate writing tools to class daily. Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time. All assignments are posted on the board and on the class website. We will work from bell to bell. Get started on the bell ringer as soon as class begins and do not pack up or line up until I give you permission to. Give me your undivided attention.

Materials Needed for Class Binder with pockets (2-3 inches) 6 dividers for the binder Loose leaf Highlighters (1 pack multicolored) Red pen, blue or black pen, pencils Composition notebook

Policies Food and beverages are not allowed in the classroom; however, water is allowed. When entering class, go directly to your seat and begin the bell ringer and SSR. Check board for agenda and upcoming dates. If major assignments and projects are submitted late, you will lose 5% of the overall grade each day that the assignment is late. If you do not complete an assignment that is worth 50 points or more, you will have 5 additional days to turn the assignment in. (Details about Credit Recovery are included in the syllabus.) Sign out when leaving class; sign in when returning. Always have your planner to leave the room. If you are absent, check the folders in the back of the room and check with the teacher for makeup work. Always remain SILENT during announcements and broadcast.

Grades are based on the accumulation of points. Grading Scale 93-100=A 85-92=B 75-84=C 67-74=D 66-below=F  Grades are based on the accumulation of points. 90%=Classwork, assessments 10%=Other

My Pledge to My Students I will always be prepared for class. I will always be prompt in responding to your concerns and questions. I will always have a positive attitude. I will always create a productive learning environment. I will always be polite to my students and treat them with respect.
