Daily Schedule 7:50-8:05 am Morning Work/Journal 8:05-8:30 am English/Language Arts 8:30-8:45 am Number Talks 18:45-9:45 am My Math or ST Math 9:45-10:00 am Word Work 10:00-11:00 am Reading Groups/Stations 11:00 am-12:00 pm Lunch/Recess 12:00-12:45 Writer’s Workshop 12:45-1:30 pm Science or Social Studies 1:30-1:40 pm Afternoon recess 1:40-2:20 pm Specials

Weekly Sessions 6 Day Rotation Day 1: Library Day 2: P.E. Day 3: Music Day 4: Art Day 5: P.E. Day 6: Music

Homework Bring orange homework folder to school every day! Plan a daily homework time in a quiet place. Do your work NEATLY and CAREFULLY. Read and follow all directions. Ask for help ONLY if you need it. Reading Log, Math Sheet, daily. Possible word work contract Have a parent/guardian sign off on your completed work. Homework is checked daily. Reading log is turned in on Friday.

Birthdays and Parties In room 73, birthdays are a great celebration Please let me know in advance if you plan on bringing in a treat for your student to share with the class Please do not distribute party invitations in the classroom unless every child in our classroom is invited to the party If possible, when providing a sweet treat also bring an alternative healthy treat for students who do not eat sugar.

Assessments, Assignments, and Grades All assessments may be retaken. Mastery is our goal! Ms. Marshall will not seek out students to retake assessments, this is a student responsibility. Late assignments will have points deducted but will be accepted up to 2 weeks late Student grades will be based on the most recent score on a standard Graded work will be sent home. Please go over this work with your student!
