Visit the attendance office if you need to drop off your child late or pick up early.
Lunch: Students need both snack and lunch each day. Please make sure lunch is healthy! KG2 cannot buy lunch.
Oct. 1st start cafeteria.
Recess: Twice a day- Indoor on hot days
Homework: For now: Read. Play. Rest. Homework will begin in January
RAZ Kids and IXL websites: you will get a password to use these at home

5. Birthdays You may bring cupcakes to celebrate your child’s special day
Please give me a few days notice to prepare
We provide plastic forks, plates, etc.
No ‘treat bags’ are allowed.
Please do not bring candles, confetti or noise makers.
No ice cream cakes or special performances please.

Reader’s Workshop every morning (includes phonics)
Writer’s Workshop and handwriting
Math: daily lessons, beginning with Patterns and counting.
Arabic every day.
Islamic or skills twice a week.
Specialist lesson every day pm.
PYP Unit of Inquiry: Friends Are an Important Part of our Lives.

7. Specialist Classes New specialist schedule this year. Music now.
Oct. 8 we will begin PE.
Swimming for 2 weeks- this is an important part of our PE program. They must participate.

KG-2 students visit the library WEEKLY for a lesson and one library book
Help your child remember to bring his or her book back on library day so they can get a new one!

Parents are welcome any time and already have a library account! You can check out up to 5 books due back in one week
Our hours are Sunday through Thursday 7:30-4:15 (we close at 2:00 on Tuesdays). Please stop by after school for special reading time with your little one!
