Volusia Literacy Test- 9/8-9/10 Collect a Performance Assessment book and two sheets of loose-leaf paper. Fill out the heading for your paper Open to PA p. 116. Read: “Suleiman the Magnificent” p. 117 “Nelson Mandela Inaugurated President of South Africa” p. 120 “Accomplishments of Queen Elizabeth I” p. 122 Do: Questions 1-4 from p. 123 at the top of your paper Write an informative essay in which you explain how each of these people exhibit leadership qualities. Plan your essay Write your essay Revise and edit your final draft. Turn it in and begin working on your Tone Vocabulary Poster!

Tone Vocabulary Poster- Sept. 4 Based on your chosen Tone word from the Tone Vocabulary sheet, you will create an 8.5x11 visual representation of the word. Include: Word Definition Sentence Picture This will be due at the END of class. These will be displayed in class. They must be neat and clean, worthy of display. :)
