1 Reading: I.J. 55 Before you begin silently reading, Read page 414 in your textbook. Take notes on the bolded words: Biographical Narrative, Objective, and Subjective. Then, complete the Quickwrite question. When you finish, read silently.

2 Reading: I.J. 55 Create Vocabulary Flashcards out of notebook paper for the words found on page 414. The Vocabulary Word is written on the front, and the definition is written on the back. Leave room on the back to write the sentence from the story the word is found in. When you’ve finished your flashcards, create a pocket with construction paper to keep them in on your I.J. 55 When you finish, read silently your independent reading book.

3 Reading: Finish your flashcards from yesterday silently if you did not already. Be sure you understand the meaning of Biographical Narrative, Objective, and Subjective. Turn in your textbook to page 415. When you finish studying the vocabulary words, read silently your independent reading book.

4 SQ3R I.J. 56 Survey – Question – Read – Review – Retell
Draw a chart like the one on page 415 in your I.J. With your table partner, survey the text and come up with at least 4 questions. Then begin reading Elizabeth 1 and take notes in the “Read” section of your chart. When you finish, complete your chart by answering your questions and summarizing what you’ve read.

5 Reading: I.J. 57 Write the definition for Mood and Theme from page 428 in your I.J. 57. Read independently.

6 “The Last Dinosaur” I.J. 57 Read “The Last Dinosaur” (pages 429-437).
When you finish, answer questions #3,4,5 from page 437 in your I.J. If your group is not on task, I have more assignments for you to complete.

7 Reading: Finish reading “Elizabeth 1” on page Finish your SQ3R in your I.J. Finish reading “The Last Dinosaur” and answering the questions in your I.J. Study your vocabulary flashcards. When you have finished everything from this week, you may read your independent reading book silently.

8 Reading: 12-7-12 Read or work on your study guide silently .
Study Guide will be due TUESDAY.
