IRA #3 Due Wednesday Today you will need: vocab collection, journal, planner, writing utensil, loose paper (1/2 sheet), and SpringBoard text.

3 Reflection- finish and then turn in with your final assignment. Group 1 What is the central conflict of your story? How was it resolved? What are the literary devices you used in your story? Then, write a reflection explaining how you applied the skills developed during the unit activities- identifying and analyzing style elements- when writing your own short story. Group 2 What was the theme identified in your thesis? What is one piece of evidence you used to show the literary element you identified? Then, write a reflection on how you were able to apply the skills and knowledge you developed during the unit while writing your essay.

4 Create 2 new pages in your journal Understanding Unit 2 Assessment 2 You will only need one page for this. Unit 2 Assessment 2 Vocabulary You will need 2-3 pages.

5 Page 167 in SB- write on your “Understanding Assessment page.” Read the prompt, and then in your own words, summarize what you will need to know to complete this assessment successfully. Create a check list with 2 categories: writing skills, and knowledge needed. Under each heading, list the things you will need to do/know to be successful on the assessment. Put a star next to the skills you have already learned.
