1 Finishing Up! Final Draft Procedures What do I do with my rough draft now?

2 First: Ask Yourself These Questions Have I made revisions to my writing? Have I edited my writing for mistakes? Have I completed a peer editing session with my writing partner? Did I make the changes my partner suggested? Have I reviewed the Expository Composition Standard? If you cannot answer yes to any one of these questions, you are NOT ready to move on.

3 Final Draft Procedures Write your heading in the upper right hand corner of the first page. Use Blue or Black ink ONLY! Write on one side of the paper only. Number all your pages. Write your name and page number in the upper right hand corner of each page after page 1. Give your report a title. Write it on the top line of the first page. DO NOT SKIP LINES!

4 Final Draft Procedures If you are typing your paper follow these rules: Print your story in black ink ONLY! Print your name, the date, and your class period on the lines before your title. Double space your lines. Number all your pages. Print your name and page number in the upper right hand corner of each page after page 1. Give your essay a title. Print it on the top line of the first page. Use Arial or Times New Roman – 12 pt. font. No larger. Standard Print – No Italics or Bold Print. Use Standard 1” Margins
