UNG’s Dual Enrollment Growth Fall 2013 – 4 Campuses, 253 students (UNG Consolidation) Fall 2014 – 4 Campuses, 467 students Fall 2015 – 5 Campuses, 627 students Fall 2016 – 5 Campuses, 861 students Fall 2017 – 5 Campuses, 968 students (Online Dual Enrollment Campus) Fall 2018 – 5 Campuses, 1247 students (Online Dual Enrollment Campus) Retention Rate Percentage Fall 2013 – 20% ----- Fall 2017 Approximately 40% (Retention – Dual Enrollment students who continue at UNG after high school graduation)

WHY Dual Enrollment? Finish College Earlier! Save Money! Earn college credit while in high school (ability to earn up to an associate)! Start your job search earlier or enter a graduate program earlier! Save Money! Dual Enrollment college courses are paid for which saves you money later! Why not get 1-2 years of college paid for?

How Much Does it Cost to Participate?? Dual Enrollment Pays For: Tuition (15 credit hours max per semester) Mandatory fees Required books What Will YOU Pay For: Course specific fees, i.e. lab fees (typically around $50 for Natural Science Lab) Art courses, language course, science course

Requirements to Remain as a Dual Enrollment Student To continue from semester to semester: Students must maintain a minimum cumulative UNG GPA of 2.5 at the end of each semester beginning with the second semester of enrollment. Students who earn less than a 2.0 in their first semester will lose eligibility for the program and may not continue.

UNG Dual Enrollment Student Expectations Appropriate studying, time management & conduct Spring Break (must follow UNG’s academic and holiday calendars) Mandatory class attendance and importance of not being tardy (UNG Dual Enrollment absence policy) Minimum cumulative UNG GPA of 2.5 All grades earned at UNG transfer back as letter grades and figure into high school GPA as calculated by the high school counselor High school IEP/504 and other plans do not automatically carry over without notification. Students with these plans are encouraged to seek assistance from UNG’s Student Disability Services office.

Update from Dual Enrollment to Traditional Freshman No need to reapply or pay application fee!! Two Easy Steps Complete an Admissions Intent Form for Dual Enrollment students no later than June 1st! Send in a current high school transcript Admission into the bachelor’s degree program as a freshman is extremely competitive and not guaranteed if a student is dual enrolled and wishes to continue at UNG as a freshman.
