About LSC LSC is a 2 year Master’s Degree Course (Second Cycle) and taught mainly in English Based on the School of Foreign Languages and Literatures, Interpreting and Translation and the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures It provides students with a high-quality academic education and professional skills in the field of international communication

About LSC A range of subjects in the areas of : Modern Languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Russian); Linguistics Courses; Historical, Geographical and Social Studies; ICT applied to Human Sciences Only one compulsory subject to be taken in Italian (Linguistics Courses – 1st year)

About LSC – Course Catalogue FIRST YEAR Linguistics Courses related to the two languages (36 ECTS) – Two disciplines for each language These subjects involve transversal practical activities, that is, common for courses of the same language. Linguistics Course (9 ECTS) This discipline is related to Italian linguistics History, Economics and Geography Courses (9 ECTS) Information Technology I.C. (6 ECTS) * 1 ECTS = 1 CFU

About LSC – Course Catalogue SECOND YEAR Linguistics of the individual languages (18 ECTS) – one course for each language These subjects involve transversal practical activities, that is, common for courses of the same language Supplementary Disciplines (9 ECTS) Electives (9 ECTS) – This group includes Internship Final Examination (24 ECTS)

Admission In order to be admitted students should: possess specific curricular requirements undergo an interview designed to assess their Personal Academic Background demonstrate their knowledge of the English Language (not lower than B2) Requirements and admission process are different according to the type of Degree held by students (Italian or Foreign)

Admission – Italian Degree Curricular Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (1st Cycle Degree) with a minimum final mark of 105/110 48 ECTS* in the two modern languages studied previously (24 ECTS per language) If English was not part of your First Degree: one of the accepted English Language Certificates, issued in the last 24 months (it is also possible to take the OOPT) FCE Grade C, BEC Vantage, IELTS 6.5 (Listening: min 6.5), TOEFL 80 (Listening: min 22) or higher Students from an anglophone country are exempted! * 1 ECTS = 1 CFU

Admission – Foreign Degree Curricular Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree demonstrating a theoretical and practical knowledge of two of the foreign languages taught One of the accepted English Language Certificates, issued in the last 24 months, or the OOPT FCE Grade C, BEC Vantage, IELTS 6.5 (with at least 6.5 in ‘Listening’), TOEFL 80 (with at least 22 in ‘Listening’) FCE Grade A, B, CAE grade A, B, C, CPE grade A, B, C, BEC Higher, higher scores in IELTS and TOEFL Students who are citizens of an anglophone country and hold a Foreign Degree and students holding a Foreign Degree issued by an anglophone country institution are exempted!

Admission – Italian and Foreign Degree Assessment of personal academic preparation Personal preparation will be evaluated through an interview Students should submit: A Self-Certificate declaration – a signed declaration listing the exams you passed in the previous Degree(s) with the corresponding marks, credits and subject groups, as well as their University Diploma and any other University Record that they want to be evaluated If necessary a copy of their English Language Certificate If applicable, a long-distance interview request form, which should be adequately motivated

Admission – Italian and Foreign Degree Assessment of the student’s reasons for applying The Interview will be carried out in one of the two foreign languages the applicant intends to study further, provided that it is not English. It will be focused on: The assessment of the student’s skills and knowledge with reference to the Degree Course Objectives The analysis of student’s motivations
