14. Indian Students At Academia

15. Internship
Internships are an important component of  Academia Study Programmes, taken in an real-work environment where student will have a mentor from an enterprise who will guide him/her through an internship. Internship is also a base for diploma thesis. 
There are three possible ways to do internships:
- Slovenia
- in EU by Erasmus - Home Country
Academia is assisting International Students for places for internships, however employers must accept them. College will provide a help with CVs and motivational letters.
Internships are usually to be taken in year 2, so students can demonstrate some knowledge to the employer and are paid as per law.

16. How to Become Student at Academia

17. Stage 1 – Apply for Admission
Candidate must submit the following documents for the application
1. Fulfilled Academia application form
2. IELTS certificate with an overall grade 5.5 (minimum 5.5 in writing and reading) or equivalent / Medium of English Certificate
3. Scan of candidate’s passport
4. Scans of Candidate’s High (Secondary) School Education Certificates.
If available candidate should submit recommendations from employer, principle, teacher about their study ability and/or character.

18. Stage 2 – Interview
Each candidate must complete an online interview with Academia’s representative. In the interview we will assess your motivation for studying, communication capabilities and knowledge of English.
If interview is successful we will send you instructions to submit supporting documents.

19. Stage 3 – Deposit Payment
In order to proceed with admissions procedure, each candidate must pay Tuition Fee Deposit of 1,000 EUR. Tuition Fee deposit contains fees for:
1. Non-refundable tuition fee 400 EUR
2. Non-refundable légalisation fee 150 EUR
Legalization fee does not apply for students from countries where Apostille Convention applies.
If your temporary living permit is approved the rest of deposit payment counts towards your tuition fee.
If temporary living permit is declined we will refund you a refundable deposit as per instructed in conditional offer of admission.

20. Stage 4 – Submit your supporting documents
For this stage, candidate needs to submit the following supporting documents via DHL or other fast postal service:
1. Completed and signed N-form 2. Description of 12 years of education 3. Secondary High School Certificate, attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs 4. Higher Secondary School Certificate, attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs 5. Passport Copy, attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Notary 6. New Police Clearance Certificate, attested by Ministry of Foreign Affairs 7. Declaration from parents or legal guardian on sufficient means of subsistence, attested by a Notary We will provide with a detailed instructions and forms based on candidate’s citizenship. Original attested documents will be returned to the student for temporary living permit submission.

21. Stage 5 – Applying for Temporary Living Permit
Candidate must submit the following documents at the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia:
1. Application for Temporary Living Permit for study purpose
2. Offer of Admission from Academia (and if in-year Decision on Enrolment) from Academia
3. Accommodation letter from Academia
4. Decision on Recognition or Prior Learning with the purpose of continuing education in Slovenia
5. Health insurance policy valid for 12 months with minimum insurance coverage € and valid for Slovenia
6. Passport Copy, attested by Apostille or by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia
7. Police Clearance Certificate, attested by Apostille or by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia
8. Declaration from parents or legal guardian on sufficient means of subsistence, attested by a Notary

22. TOTAL EXPANSES FOR ONE YEAR Studies
Full Tuition Fee for the first year of studies
Accommodation fee for first year of studies – 3,100 EUR
Airport pick-up fee – 40 EUR
Deposits to be paid:
Accommodation Damage Deposit 500 EUR Returned after students check out from the accommodation
Living Allowance for one year of studies – 1800 EUR Returned to students bank account in Slovenia according to the Living Allowance Deposit Policy
