As part of a foreign language class, students CLASS EXPECTATIONS Daily Students will be expected to come to class prepared with all necessary supplies, information, & assignments. Respect Students will respect themselves by working their hardest. They will respect their classmates by allowing mistakes & celebrating success. Students will respect the teacher by creating an environment for learning. Technology will be used often in class. Any device used in class without permission will be confiscated for the duration of the school day. Absence: It is the student’s responsibility to catch up on work missed for any absence within the appropriate time. No food, drinks, or gum in class. GRADING INFORMATION Grade Weights 50% Minor Grades - Tests, Projects 50% Major - Practice, quizzes (x2) Late Work Not accepted more than 5 days late Maximum grade of 70 Extra Credit - optional Will be available for each grading period. Assessments At least 3 per grading period 1 oral 1 written Students will take common assessments for Semester Exams. Class conduct plan: Behavior is not often a problem in my classroom. If a student chooses to disrupt the classroom environment, she/he will be redirected. If the disruption happens again, a lunch detention will be assigned. If the student continues to disrupt learning, parents will be contacted. Each student will also receive access to a digital copy of the book. Spanish 2 will create a detailed notebook in class in order to have a hard copy of notes to take home to review. This will be a graded notebook.
