Steps to Download and Install the Desktop Reader

1. Go to the IDMT website: http://idmt. ebmeb. gov. bd/index 1. Go to the IDMT website: http://idmt.ebmeb.gov.bd/index.php from your Google Chrome. If you do not have Google Chrome installed, install it from https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html

2. Provide your username and password to log in the website 2. Provide your username and password to log in the website. If you do not have an account use the “Sign Up” option to create one.

3. You can now see a ‘Download’ button for downloading the desktop application. Click the download button.

3. If you can not see Download Desktop Application option, navigate through the other apps, by clicking on the left or right arrow, until you find the desktop reader download option.

4. The download will start and you can also see the download progress (the progress might not be shown here for your browser configuration).

5. After the download is finished, Go to your “Downloads” folder, (or, the folder where you actually downloaded the file). You will found a file named “IDMT.crx”.

6. Go back to Google Chrome 6. Go back to Google Chrome. Click on the upper right corner button and select “settings”.

7. In the “Settings page”, select “Extensions” option from the left navigation bar. You will find a page similar to this.

11. Enable the “Developer Mode”.

12. Go to the “Downloads” folder, or the folder where you downloaded the desktop reader “IDMT.crx”.

13. Place the Google Chrome window and the Downloads folder side by side. Then, drag the “IDMT.crx” file and drop it into the “Extensions” page of Chrome like below. Drop the file here

14. Then, a pop up window will appear. Click on the “Add app” button 14. Then, a pop up window will appear. Click on the “Add app” button. It will automatically install the reader into your computer.

1. Open a new tab in chrome by selecting “New tab” from the upper right corner menu.

2. Click on the “Apps” option in the horizontal menubar.

3. Click on the IDMT icon to open the desktop reader.

Alternative way to open the desktop reader

Go to start and type “IDMT” in the search box Go to start and type “IDMT” in the search box. You will find the IDMT app appear on the search result. Click to open.
