2007© MEMO Minnesota Educational Media Organization Research Process Scope and Sequence Standard Number 2: Communicate Subject: Creating a Title Page Grade Level: 3-5 TIP Having an attractive title page will help interest others to read your report. It will also give you pride in what you have completed. OPTION Add animations and voice over, however be sure it is not too busy. Some students have trouble focusing when there is too much going on. 2007© MEMO Minnesota Educational Media Organization

2007© MEMO Minnesota Educational Media Organization WordArt can be used to Create a Title Make sure your drawing tool bar is showing. Click on “Insert” and find WordArt. Click on WordArt Choose a horizontal style that will be easy to read. Type the title of your report. Format your title so it is the color you would like. Size the title for the page and for the other information that will be added. Save your work. TIP It would be helpful if each step has an example that leads to one final product. Maybe each step needs to be a slide of its own. Maybe give an example of pages where the title is not sized or placed correctly. 2007© MEMO Minnesota Educational Media Organization 3
