Democratic-Republicans Democrats, Republicans, Jeffersonians Key people: Thomas Jefferson and James Madison

What Helped Create The Parties? The founding fathers did not foresee political parties Not mentioned in the Constitution Hamilton received much opposition to his financial plan (especially the BUS) Opposition was led by Jefferson Eventually, two parties emerged, led by Hamilton and Jefferson
