Language Arts Mrs. Fosmark 2018-2019 ● SEMESTER I Room: 105 Email: fosmarkl@hsd.k12.or.us Office: Room 127 (503) 844-1900, ext. 3627 2018-2019 ● SEMESTER I This semester, we will read, read, read! As a group, we will read one entire novel. Our main focus will be building our vocabulary and increasing understanding of the story. We will also be practicing our writing skills. We will complete short daily writing assignments and 1 large writing project this semester. You! Ready to learn. Pen or pencil to write with Binder with lined paper Come prepared with required materials. Be respectful of the teacher and your classmates. Come to class on time. Personal devices should be on silent until allowed by the teacher. Be ready to read and write every day! You will get specific feedback in your IEP progress notes and on a report card. Both are sent home at the end of the semester. On the report card, you will get either a ‘Pass’ grade or a ‘Fail’ grade. To get a ‘Pass’ grade in this class, you are expected to participate to the best of your ability in class, and complete in-class assignments. These are both very important! Our class will use computers and iPads to complete many assignments and projects this year. You may bring your own phone or iPad to use for assignments, but it is not required.
