AICE Diploma & Bright Futures Students who earn the diploma receive the highest level of Florida Bright Futures regardless of ACT and SAT scores regardless of GPA Students must have 100 hours of community service.

AICE Diploma as of June 2017 To obtain an AICE Diploma, you must accumulate 7 credits by passing AS Global Perspectives and at least one exam from three different subject groups (within 25 months). Group 4 is optional with a maximum of two credits that can be used towards the diploma requirements. The Core Mathematics and Science Group 1 Languages Group 2 Arts and Humanities Group 3 Interdisciplinary and Skills Based Subjects Group 4 (Only 2 credits allowed for this group) Global Perspectives and Research AS Level Marine Science English Language European History General Paper   Psychology* Spanish Language Sociology Thinking Skills A or AS Level Media Studies

Assessments Exams Required for College Credit AP exams given during first two weeks of May AICE exams given throughout May and sometimes scheduled for after school is out for the summer If exam is not taken, student is responsible for cost of exam College Credit based on: Score College Policies Credit awarded by Florida Colleges

Differences AP and AICE Both are rigorous college level courses Both have external exams given at the end of the course College credit for both is earned through the external exam and college policies AP exams are given on one day generally with a 3 hour exam. One section is generally multiple choice and one section is essay. AICE exams are generally administered over 2 days with 1.0-1.75 hour exams. One section is generally short responses and one section is essay. AICE courses are writing intensive Both AICE and AP courses prepare you to be successful in college. College admissions officers want students to take rigorous and challenging high school courses

Florida Graduation High School Requirements 4 credits – English 4 credits – Math 3 credits – Science (Biology Required) 3 credits – Social Studies(World History, U.S. History, Economics with Financial Literacy, U.S. Government) 1 credit – HOPE 1 credit – Performing Arts

On-Campus at GCH or Off-Campus FSW Dual Enrollment GPA Requirements- Unweighted Cumulative GPA 3.5 for Sophomores; 3.0 for Juniors & Seniors Minimum Standardized Test Scores Must have ACT or SAT college ready scores If you have not taken the SAT or ACT you may take the PERT (College Placement Test) AT FSW or when it is offered at GCH
