College Readiness Block Grant Funding Description The College Readiness Block Grant is established for the purposes of providing California’s high school pupils, particularly unduplicated pupils as defined in Education Code (EC) sections 42238.01 and 42238.02, additional supports to increase the number who enroll at institutions of higher education and complete an undergraduate degree within four years.

College Readiness Block Grant LOCAL CONTROL ACCOUNTABILITY PLAN (LCAP) GOALS: PUPIL OUTCOMES Increase the quality and rigor of core curriculum by implementing Common Core State Standards. Close the identified Achievement Gap by providing targeted additional support to meet the needs of students who are not meeting standards in the core instructional program.
Expenditure Options INTRODUCTION: …As districts develop local plans for the College Readiness Block Grant, school counselors are called to contribute their voices and expertise within their sites, districts and communities. College Readiness Block Grant Submit to CDE by January 1, 2017 How will your LEA measure the impact of the College Readiness Block Grant (CRGB) funds received? (100 words) CNUSD will measure the impact of CRBG funds. Counselors will conduct meetings with 9th grade students and parents to forge four year high school plans. Plans will be monitored to enhance A-G completion rates for the high school graduating classes of 2021, 2022, 2023.

Technology will be provided for counselors to support online SAT test preparation, college applications, and financial aid endeavors. The National Student Clearinghouse will produce data on the number of students attending post-secondary education and the number of students completing a degree within four years.
