Sponsored Programs Support Centers Office of Sponsored Programs Central Office Sheila Lischwe (Director) Contract Negotiation Proposal Development Team Outreach/Education/Social Media/Internal Grant Programs Administrative Support Business Operations/Policy/Metrics/InfoEd Career Focus Specialist Non-Academic Unit Grant Activity Sponsored Programs Support Centers College Level Unit Managers Report to Director of OSP CoES (Manager: Dianne Myers) CAFLS (Manager: Trisha Southergill) HEHD (Manager: Bobbi Curry) AA&H (Manager: Donna Harrington) BB&S (Manager: Karen Littleton) Contract Negotiation – JD/Paralegal – Handles all research-related agreements except for NDAs and MTAs (CURF responsibility), including FAR contracts Strategic Initiatives Team – Three professional staff – 1 manager and two coordinators – This team proactively scans the external environment for opportunities that CU can respond to, well in advance of calls issued. They work closely with the Office of Governmental Affairs, Development, and CURF to ensure that all parties are coordinated and working towards the same goals and sharing information and action steps. Assembles CU expertise, coordinates technical and non-technical proposal copy, manages third party collaborations and contacts. With Director of OSP and other CU personnel, coordinates contact with sponsor representatives to advance CU position. Outreach/Education – Current Training/Instructor Position - Responsible for PI Certification Program, coordination of training programs, Limited Submissions, ResearchRoar, events calendar, quarterly Research Forum Research Concierge/Ombudsman- This position provides customer service to faculty based upon career stage, and should be filled with a veteran research administrator who exhibits a keen understanding of the substantive nature of faculty research, and their unique challenges at each career stage. This position provides premium services to CU’s Top Ten Investigators, provides one-on-one strategic planning for new/junior faculty, as well as mid-career faculty looking to change research directions. In the ombudsman role, this position serves as a contact/advocate for those who have a question or complaint about research administration services. Business Operations – Director’s Responsibility – In this capacity, the Director of OSP manages continued strategic planning, interfacing with executive leadership, oversight of all key functional areas, departmental budgeting and hiring, performance evaluation, and professional development, in consultation with college advisory boards, when applicable.
