Associate Provost of Institutional Effectiveness (Ex–Officio) Manager, Assessment Assessment Specialist* Brooklyn College Assessment Steering Committee (BCASC) Academic Assessment Committee (AAC) School Assessment Committees (SAC) Administrative, Educational & Student Support (AES) Assessment Committee General Education Committee (Assessment Agenda) General Education Assessment Coordinator and appointed faculty Director, Institutional Research & Data Analytics (Ex-Officio)

3 5 members consisting of VPs and SVPs
Composition of the Brooklyn College Assessment Steering Committee (BCASC 5 members consisting of VPs and SVPs Academic Affairs Enrollment Management Finance and Administration Institutional Advancement Student Affairs Ex-Officio member consisting of the Associate Provost for IE

4 Composition and Role of the BCASC
Sets the Academic and AES Assessment Goals and Objectives for the academic year in alignment with MSCHE Recommendations and Strategic Plan 2.0 Meets once per semester

5 Composition of the Academic Assessment Committee (AAC)
10 members consisting of each School Dean and each School Faculty Co-Chair 3 Ex-Officio members Manager, Office of Assessment Assessment Specialist, Office of Assessment Director, Office of Institutional Research & Data Analytics

6 Role of the Academic Assessment Committee (AAC)
Provides leadership for the School Assessment Committee Charged with ensuring the attainment of objectives set by the BCASC Oversight of Program Reviews and Evaluation of the Annual Assessment Reports Meets at least once per semester

7 Composition of the School Assessment Committee (SAC)
School Dean and the Assessment Faculty Co-Chair Faculty Coordinator from each department or degree program (as appropriate) 2 Ex-Officio members Assessment Manager, Office of Assessment Assessment Specialist, Office of Assessment

8 ROLE of the School Assessment Committee (SAC) Members
Serves as a Co-Chair or Member of a Program Review Committee (w/in department) Consults with faculty to ensure timely completion of annual assessment reports Serves as the liaison between SAC and the department chair and faculty

9 General Education Committee
Composition Members representing departments serving courses in the General Education Curriculum Role Designates an Assessment Coordinator and other faculty as appropriate Oversees the Gen Ed assessment calendar to ensure timely completion of assessment activities according to the documented assessment cycle Facilitates the fulfillment of objectives set by the BCASC (as appropriate) Completes annual Gen Ed assessment reports

10 Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness
Composition of the Administrative, Education, and Student Support (AES) Assessment Committee Select members consisting of the VP/SVP’s appointees from units within their divisions 4 Ex-Officio members Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness Assessment Manager, Office of Assessment Assessment Specialist, Office of Assessment Director, Institutional Research & Data Analytics

11 Provides leadership for the Unit-level AES Assessment
Role of the of the Administrative, Education, and Student Support (AES) Assessment Committee Provides leadership for the Unit-level AES Assessment Charged with completing the objectives set by the BCASC Oversight of Unit/Institute Reviews and Evaluation of Annual Assessment Reports Meets at least once per semester
