Classes listed as 1.0 credits count as two elective classes.

Examples of Substitution Similar to the course requirement 1. College and Career Awareness at the 6th grade level Category 2 also allows for Keyboarding or FACS 6th grade 2. PE 7/Health at the 7th grade level Category 3 also allows for Dance 1, Dance 2, Dance 3, or Team Sports 7 3. Examples of Substitution Extracurricular activity or experience 1. Parent states their child does an hour of soccer after school and wants to replace PE with this extracurricular activity. Parent fills out “Parent Request to Substitute a Course Requirement” Form with the Counselors. LEA approves, substitution is made 2. Parent states their child is doing on-line math and wants to replace math Math can be dropped BUT an elective will not be substituted Students can only take the same amount of electives as other peers in their grade level.
