2. NEXT YEAR’S CLASSES CORE CLASSES Language Arts 8 U.S. History Integrated Science 8 Mathematics (Placement is determined by current math teacher) –8 th Grade Math –8 th Grade Math Honors –Secondary Math 1 Honors

3. NEXT YEAR’S CLASSES HEALTH & PHYSICAL FITNESS Your student must take the following half year classes. –Health –P.E.

4. NEXT YEAR’S CLASSES READING/WORLD LANGUAGE/ELECTIVE Students who do not have and SRI score of 1050 or higher, will need to take Reading 8. If students have a 1050 or higher, they may choose to take either: –World Language (French or Spanish) –Additional Elective course

5. NEXT YEAR’S CLASSES Each student get 1 elective credit. If you don’t take a World Language you can have 2 elective credits.

6. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE The FACS Sewing class covers sewing skills & interior design. The FACS Foods class covers food and nutrition, as well as family & child development. Some of the choir, dance, band, & orchestra classes require auditions with the teachers. Please contact the teachers for information.

7. BE PREPARED For your information: Not all classes will carry due to the number of requests and teacher schedules. Be prepared to choose 1 full year or 2 semester back up elective classes.

8. CHOOSING CLASSES Your student will choose their classes for next year during science class next week, either Monday or Tuesday! Please discuss this with your students and help them plan their schedule. Your student is requesting the classes they want to take. Your student’s final schedule will be available at the end of August.
