6 Career Pathways Career, Technical and Agricultural Education Pathways (CTAE) – a graduate who completes a series of three or four specified courses in a CTAE-approved pathway leading to a possible industry-recognized credential World Languages Pathway – a graduate who completes a sequence of three courses in one world language Fine Arts Pathways – a graduate who completes a series of three courses in any one of the following areas: visual arts, theatre, dance, music

Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Healthcare Early Child Care Engineering and Technology ROTC Information Technology- Programming Marketing Work Based Learning

8 Academy for advanced studies pathway offerings
Students will receive a Career, Technical & Agricultural Education (CTAE) Guide tomorrow that lists all pathways offered at AAS. Please review this with your student. If your student is interested in a ctae pathway offered at aas please attend one of the upcoming open houses and registration nights. Transportation to and from aas is offered from lhs. If lhs offers the ctae pathway your student is interested in they will not need to register for ctae classes at aas.

AAS REGISTRATION for Tuesday, February 14, 2017 Tuesday, February 28, :30 PM – 7:30 PM Registration is by school at the Academy for Advanced Studies

12 Pre-registration advisement
Individual advisement with Ms. Gray-Robinson will begin the week of January 23rd Parents will be able to log into Infinite campus to review and approve course requests ►More information to come on this process

13 High School Registration process
Registration will be in March

14 High School graduation requirements
English/Language Arts * Mathematics* Science* Social Studies* CTAE/Foreign Language/Fine Arts Health and Physical Education Electives TOTAL UNITS (MINIMUM) 23 *Required Courses and/or Core Courses

15 high school credits earned in middle school
hs school credits earned in middle school will not count towards a student’s hope gpa in order for students to be competitive on college applications they must earn 4 math, 4 English, 4 science and 3 social studies credits during hs

16 Honors and advanced placement courses
9th Grade honors and Advanced Placement *Ap Human Geography *Honors contract *Honors Math II/CCGPS Analytical Geometry 18+ Advanced placement course offered
