Rural communities It is called the country or farmland. Buildings in rural communities are more spread out than urban ones. It is not unusual to find only a few buildings spread out over large distances.

Urban communities People often take the bus, bike, or train. People live close together in a little space. Buildings in urban communities are often very tall. Some buildings are so tall they seem to touch the sky. They are called skyscrapers.

Suburban Communities Often homes in the suburbs have only one family living in them. People in the suburb often drive, but sometimes walk or take the bus.
