Didn’t select how applying ISSUE: When applying to any Common App school, you must tell Naviance if you have applied using the Common App, or directly to the school. FIX: Naviance Colleges Tab Colleges I’m Applying To I’m Not Sure Yet Choose: “via Common App” or “Directly to the institution” Finish by clicking UPDATE APPLICATIONS at the bottom of page
incomplete ferpa waiver ISSUE: If you are applying to any schools using the Common App, you must complete your FERPA waiver in your Common App account. FIX: Login to your Common App account My College Recommenders and FERPA Click “Release Authorization” and complete the FERPA waiver; be sure to click “I waive my right…”
Common app not matched ISSUE: If you are applying to any schools using the Common App, you must match your Common App account with Naviance (in Naviance). FIX: Login to your NAVIANCE account College Tab College I’m Applying To Enter your Common App account email, confirm DOB click the “Match” button.
College not in Common app ISSUE: If you are sending transcripts to schools using the Common App, you must have those schools listed in your Common App “Dashboard.” FIX: Login to your Common App account College Search tab add all colleges you are requesting a transcript for.
Didn’t request transcript ISSUE: College is added to Naviance list, but transcript box isn’t checked off; we are not notified you need a transcript when this happens. FIX: Naviance Colleges Tab Colleges I’m Applying To Request Transcripts Under “Current Applications,” check “Add Request” box.
