Report Card The work of the teachers did not change except for a few revisions All three documents match the scope with a few exceptions

Report Card: Strands The strands were used to organize the report card and give parents a year overview. Strands will not change each six weeks. The skill(s) (cognitive rigor [verb] and content) for the six weeks are listed after the strand. Skills will change based on the Scope and Sequence. An X is placed in front of a strand if it is not addressed that six weeks.

Report Card: Key Strands M = Met Standard P = Progressing Toward Standard LP = Limited Progress Toward Standard Other and Social Skills E = Excellent S = Satisfactory N = Needs Improvement U = Unsatisfactory

Reporting Progress Progress is reported to parents by the strand, not the individual skills. Determining LP, P, or M for a strand is based on the average score for the skills for that strand.

Reporting Progress Where LP or P are assigned to a strand, you may designate the skills where the student is struggling. What if the child gets an LP or P in one six weeks, but meets standard in a six weeks where the strand is X out? Remove the X before printing, and designate the new score. You may not type in the skill. You may handwrite the skill after it is printed.

Reporting Progress ISIP will only be reported during the six weeks the universal screener is given (3Xs) There will be a key beside the score to indicate an on grade level score.

Teachers will get the grades from the PE/Music teachers. There is no conduct grade for PE/Music PE/Music conduct can be combined with the overall conduct grade. If you and the PE/Music teacher want to give a separate conduct grade, then mark it this way E/E S/E S/N to show the grade/conduct. Reporting Progress: PE/Music

Completing and Keeping Documentation of the Report Card Report cards can be completed on the computer and saved, or you can print the report card and complete it by hand. BEFORE you send home the report card… Completed on computer – You MUST backup each childs file on your U: drive or make a hard copy to place in each childs file. IF you fail to backup and your computer crashes, you will be responsible for gathering the past data and redoing all student report cards. Completed by hand – Make a hard copy to place in each childs file for future reference.

Rubric Each content area rubric gives the criteria for assigning LP, P, and M for each strand/skill. The last column gives you the expectations for all students. Use the rubric to assign scores. DO NOT give a blanket LP, P, or M to all students unless all students have met the criteria for that strand/skill and you have documentation.

Rubric If a student meets only the criteria for LP, then assign an LP. We want to report accurate progress to parents. Some standards are grouped together for assigning the score like Comprehension Skills and Writing Process. Where the standards are grouped together, the skills are separated on the checklist. You can assign individual scores and average them. However, you do not have to do score them individually when they are grouped together, but you have the option.

Checklist Print them at the beginning of each six weeks. Use the checklist to document progress throughout the six weeks. DO NOT stop to assess the last week of the six weeks. You will have activities during the six weeks where you will be able to determine whether a child is LP, P, or M.

Checklist All are loaded into Forethought. If printed from Eduphoria, two sheets will be printed for each strand/skills. This was done so you can print straight from Forethought and have enough spaces for all children instead of having to make a copy.
