SECD Outcomes Work Group GOAL: Each student develops the social, emotional, and character competencies that promote learning and success in life. Committee of 22 KSDE/TASN members Subcommittee focus areas; Comprehensive policy framework Collaborative coordinated continuum of SECD resources Increased access to licensed staff for student support Stakeholder partnerships and network development Coordinated funding approaches

School Mental Health Advisory Statewide committee with broad representation Purpose: Advise State Board of Education on unmet needs in school mental health Coordinate with legislators and stakeholders to effectively address the mental health needs of students Coordinate statewide collaborative social emotional character development partnerships with stakeholders that will benefit students Immediate focus on developing more quality SMH resources for school districts, including enhanced resources for mandated trainings
