The big four goals: 1) Woodrow Wilson - USA 2) Lloyd George – Great Britain a) Wants lasting peace! a) Punish Germany! i) Fourteen Points i) German reparations ii) Self determination ii)Weaken German Army iii) League of Nations iii) Central Powers should lose territory 4) Vittorio Orlando - Italy 3) Georges Clemenceau - France a) Get Anything! i) Want land from Austria-Hungary a) Get Revenge! i) Blame Germany for war ii) Take back territory iii) German reparations

C. Some countries not invited to Paris: 1. German Republic 2. Austria-Hungary 3. Ottoman Empire a. Why? need to blame Germans a. Why? Will also be broken up – British want Mid East a. Why? Russia (due to Treaty of Brest-Litovsk) Loss land to Poland.
