Mission Statement TEAM Safe Trucking To reduce accidents through effective fleet management, increasing the number of safe, qualified drivers in order to deliver a sustainable and profitable supply chain. Mission Statement

Transportation of Forest Products use TEAM concept Logging Equipment Fires were occurring at alarming rate. Insurers were declining coverage and significantly increasing rates TEAM Fire formed in 2001 – Loggers, equipment mfgs, insurance TEAM Fire - major impact on reduction in logging equipment fire Loggers more aware of issues Manufacturers continuing to address fire issues in machine design Overall much better situation than 20 years ago when TEAM began

TEAM Safe Trucking What is TST? The TEAM Safe Trucking Initiative is a national cooperative to create an awareness, education, and training program that will be available to all who have log, chip, and bark hauling operations or exposure to such operations.

TST Organization Progress Attendees formed subcommittees to develop awareness, education & training 1st TST presentation at the ALC annual meeting in Eureka, CA Sept. 25th 2015 Efforts to create TST groups in NE, Midwest, West, Mid South to join SE initiative Rick Quagliaroli, Voted President of TST

TEAM Safe Trucking TST Progress Community College logger training template developed Awareness & Training materials near completion TST Website developed – www.teamsafetrucking.com Approved research project by Virginia Tech – Analyze Data specific to Forest Products Trucking Safety Developing ideas for Driver Continuing Education ( SFI Logger Training model) Discussions with insurers concerning driver intern programs Developed financial resources committee
