2. Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing Project is a £5
Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing Project is a £5.1M ERDF project to support the implementation of product and process development and the introduction of technology within the SME manufacturing base within the NE LEP area.
ERDF funding of £2.6M and the University of Sunderland are managing and investing £2.5M in delivery of this project.
The University of Sunderland have committed significant academic resources and recruited industrial specialists to support the delivery of both practical and research support.
The project has in excess of £800K in grants to support capital / product validation / tooling and other financial inhibitors to driving strategic development of both product and process.

19. FAQ’s Q Is there lots of paperwork to complete for the support?
A Yes there is some paperwork, but we will have specialist administration support to assist with it’s completion.
Q Do I have to match fund?
A Only in the case of project grants.
Q What are the project outputs?
A 208 Companies engaged / 163 increase in jobs / 43 financial grants / 168 Companies supported with Knowledge Transfer and Projects / 10 new products to market / 10 new products to the company / 10 New Company start-up
