Houston Market Movements The EDGE Information and news that gives you an edge in the real estate business Houston Market Movements Across the country, as summer approaches, more “For Sale” signs are going up in front yards, although not quite to the extent that we saw in 2016. Nonetheless, homes listed as move-in ready that are priced well are selling rapidly. In fact, despite lower inventory, many REALTORS® report that they are busier than last year and closing at a hefty pace. In the Houston region, for the week ending May 7: • New Listings increased 19.3% to 3,502 • Pending Sales increased 21.9% to 2,290 • Closed Sales increased 2.9% to 1,519
