Oral Evaluation I - Importance : -It offers the Ss. a great opportunity to practice the target language. -It helps to break the boundaries of interaction. -It prepares the Ss. to their university life. -It is the teacher time to enjoy & know more about her Ss.

II - Challenges : -Time: T. should designate a specific time for the presentations (speaking)/exams (listening). -Capability: T. designs a range of speaking activities to meet the needs of every S. -How to assess speaking? Using rubric to grade Ss. *a table of different criteria & a grading scale.

Oral Evaluation Speaking 5 Marks Listening 5 Marks *Two periods in the semester *Each period consists of 10 marks ( the total of Listening & Speaking ) Speaking 5 Marks In Every Day Class : through discussions, role-play tasks or interviews for week Ss. The Ss. must be evaluated at least one time for each period In designated classes: Ss. Prepare short presentations Listening 5 Marks There must be more than two Listening Exams during the semester Listening Comprehension Questions 3 marks Phonics Questions 2 marks
