Serial Television Drama Exam topic

Definition: Television drama that is organised into a series of episodes – usually between 3-12 episodes. If it becomes popular more seasons will be commissioned. They typically have a story arcs that spans the whole series and a continuing plot that unfolds in an episodic nature. There are several sub genres: Costumes / period drama; medical drama; crime drama and others like Waterloo Road, Dr Who. Sherlock etc
