Highlights from 2016-2017 (Standards and Quality Report) Supportive Parent Partnership in place – consultation with stakeholders regarding Visible Learning, Rights Respecting Schools, Homework and Pupil Equity Funding. Huge progress made in relation to developing children's understandings of Global Citizenship / Rights Respecting Schools. Positive link with Rwanda. Continued focus on learning dispositions. Links with Challenging Learning have raised the school profile as we have hosted International visitors. RWI at P3&4 has impacted positively on children’s progress in reading. The Library has improved, both the physical environment and book lending. The Big Writing Programme has up-skilled teachers and ensured that there is a clear skills progression ad assessment framework in place. More staff have trained in use of SEAL. SEAL allows fluid groupings, children accessing appropriate levels of support and challenge. Children have opportunities to access learning in a variety of contexts – P5 and P7 camp, P6 bushcraft, P3 Farm to Fork, P6 bikeability. Developing use of Lucid Lass to build a Learners’ Profile – supports the identification of dyslexia.
