Meeting Agenda Service Requirement Changes Senior Scholarship Senior Stoles Shirt Distribution Selecting New Officers

Service Requirement This semester, a total of 7 service hours will be required of every member to maintain membership. Prior to completing these hours, service project ideas must be approved. https://goo.gl/riLnuA Students are required to complete Section 1 & 2 of the Spring Approval service form and email the form to their advisor (last name A-M= Mrs. Cortés / N-Z= Mrs. Alonzo) for approval of service no later than Friday, February 16th.

Senior Scholarship If you are a current NHS Senior in good standing with the society, you may apply for our chapter’s scholarship. The scholarship ranges from $250-$750 dollars. Senior Stoles Order forms for the stoles are due on February 20th. The cost for the Gold Honor Stole is $24.00. Please make checks payable to PVHS and write NHS-First and last name, Gold Stole in the memo.

Shirt Distribution Shirt re-re-distribution will take place TODAY during A and B lunches. Please go to Room 309 (The Spanish pod). This will be the last chance to pick up shirts before picture day.

Selecting New Officers Although the officers this year were amazing, they will be going off to college. Therefore, new officers will be elected to fill their place . In order to run, a candidate must be a rising senior and be in good standing with NHS and be available for the following process... First phase: Return the application form to Mrs. Cortés in RM 309 no later than Tuesday, February 20th. Second phase: All applications will be reviewed by the NHS advisors.  Nominees will be notified by Wednesday, February 21st of their invitation to an interview. Interviews are held with NHS advisors, current officers, and selected faculty members, Thursday, February 22nd and Friday, February 23rd. Third phase: After interviews, nominees will be invited to prepare speeches for the final NHS meeting on Friday, April 20th. Speeches will be presented to all NHS members who will then cast their electronic votes during the school day.  

Relay For Life Presentation Mrs. Cortés is not the supervisor For it to count as NHS hours you must join an NHS team (give info to Mrs. Cortés) or develop a team with NHS members. Wear your NHS shirts the day of. Get approval form signed by registration table when you arrive. Take pictures and send so we can put on website.
