Think about what you have seen. Do you think propaganda is effective Think about what you have seen. Do you think propaganda is effective? What emotions are these posters trying to evoke? Using some of these ideas (only as examples) create a political advertisement in which you are trying to promote the war for the United States. Ideas can include the following: a) Getting men to enlist in the armed forces b) Encouraging people to buy war bonds c) Encouraging people to ration items or food that could help the troops d) Encouraging the Untied States to defeat the Central Powers Illustrate your advertisement (this means you get to draw and color!) and have a catch phrase for it. Write a brief summary of what your poster is saying, who your target audience is and what you hope your poster accomplishes for the war effort.
