2 I) Rationing A) Consumer goods were rationed for the war effort. -Leather -Silk -Gasoline -Steel

3 II) Women in the Workplace -10 million men are drafted. -5 million men join the armed forces. -only women are left for manufacturing jobs.

4 III) War Bonds -Americans were encouraged to loan the government money through bonds -Propaganda posters like this were used to play on emotions.

5 IV) Newsreels & Films Americans get information, and follow the war in movie theaters, on radio and from newspapers

6 V) Internment -Hundreds of thousands of Japanese Americans imprisoned without trial. -Property was taken from them. -2/3 of them were native born US citizens.
