3 The Homefront What people who are not physically fighting the war are doing to support it. Total War- all of the nations resources go to war effort. Mobilizing- rationing, recycling War Bonds- raise money for war Propaganda- one sided information

4 The Homefront Propaganda: An information tool(weapon). An organized program of selected information used to spread a doctrine or idea. Used to promote your idea over your enemy’s.

5 The purpose of propaganda is to make the enemy look as bad as possible. e.g. a blood thirsty beast that had to be stopped.

9 Propaganda  All countries during the war spread false information to keep up support for the war, otherwise known as propaganda.  Posters were the method of choice for spreading propaganda ideas.

10 While the men were off fighting, many women went to work in factories making war goods. Their labor at home was essential to the war effort of many nations. The Homefront: Role of Women
