Quality Improvement Visit Seven-strong team including QIOs, headteachers, ASN specialists 35 lessons observed over two day period Meetings with parents, pupils, teachers, promoted staff, non-teaching staff, curriculum partners, ASN and GIRFEC partners Discussions with headteacher and deputes

Quality Improvement Visit Many strong aspects of learning and teaching across the school – examples of quite innovative teaching seen by the team Learning intentions shared with pupils Good classroom discipline – well maintained by teachers and other staff and based on respectful relationships Ideas for improvement to be discussed with SMT and staff then report released to parents and the community

School improvement plan for 2017 Priority 1: Raising attainment, achievement, employability Additional targeted support in English and maths Revamp and relaunch of senior careers event, development of partnerships and further use of the Career Education Standards Google suite training Raising of aspirations and skills for life through partnership schools programme Investigations into ways to increase parental engagement including use of social media

Priority 2: Quality of care and education Additional pastoral support with three guidance teachers and an intensive support officer and staff and pupil training in wellbeing indicators Developing resilience of pupils through extra-curricular programmes (e.g. climbing) Relaunch of whole school values statements Parental chromebook and Google Suite information event Joint community project working including film club and IHS@80
